Nepali-Speaking Therapist, Virtual Across Ontario
Virtual therapy in Nepali (नेपाली), Hindi and English for adults anywhere in Ontario.
Moving to a new country can bring opportunity and pride, and also loneliness, pressure to succeed, money worries and distance from family. Many Nepali-speaking adults carry this quietly, especially when there's an expectation to stay strong for others.
Shishir Pandey, Registered Social Worker at Co & Associates in Milton, offers virtual therapy in Nepali, Hindi and English for adults across Ontario.
Meet Shishir Pandey, Registered Social Worker
Shishir is a first-generation immigrant to Canada from the Global South. He understands that building a new life can involve grief, shifting family roles, cultural disconnection, racism and questions about belonging, and that you can value the life you've built and still struggle with what it has required of you.
His background in social work, mental health, nursing and education shapes a practical, whole-person approach. He draws on CBT, DBT, narrative and solution-focused therapy, with a trauma-informed and anti-oppressive lens.
What Shishir can help with
- Anxiety, overthinking and low mood
- Trauma and difficult experiences that still affect you
- Stress and burnout, including in healthcare and caregiving work
- Immigration, newcomer and international-student stress
- Cultural identity, belonging and racialized experiences
- Family and cultural expectations
- Men's mental health and difficulty talking about emotions
Why sessions are online
Shishir works virtually, using a secure video platform, so you can meet from home or another private space anywhere in Ontario. Many clients find this easier around shift work, studies or family responsibilities.
Strength and asking for help
In many families, being strong means coping quietly and not burdening others. Asking for help can feel like letting people down. Therapy doesn't ask you to stop being strong. It gives you a private place to put some of the weight down, make sense of what you're carrying, and find ways forward that fit your values and your family. Your first session is simply a conversation about what's been hard and what you'd like to change.
