Our Team Is Growing — With Intention

There is something really meaningful and still a bit awe striking for me watching Co & Associates continue to grow.

When I started Co, I wanted to create more than a place where people could come to therapy. I wanted to create a space where people could find the right person to talk to—someone they connect with, feel understood by, and can genuinely be themselves with.

Because therapy isn't one-size-fits-all. Neither are therapists. This fall, our Co & Associates team. is growing again, and I'm excited to welcome three new faces to the team.

Welcoming Sahar

Sahar Majeed, Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying), joins us with a Master's degree in Clinical Psychology and more than six years of clinical experience across Pakistan, the UAE, and Canada.

Sahar works with concerns including anxiety, depression, trauma, emotional regulation, self-esteem, and neurodevelopmental differences. Her experience working across different countries, cultures, and clinical settings brings another important perspective to our team.

She also offers therapy in English, Urdu, Hindi, and Punjabi, helping us continue to make therapy more accessible to the communities we serve.

And This September, We're Welcoming Two Student Therapists

I'm also really excited that Mike Finnie and Omniya Ali will be joining Co & Associates for their supervised psychotherapy practicums.

Mike is completing his Master of Arts in Psychotherapy and Spiritual Care at Martin Luther University College (federated with Wilfrid Laurier University). Before entering psychotherapy training, Mike spent 13 years in pastoral leadership and counselling, supporting people through grief, relationship struggles, anxiety, major life transitions, existential questions, and crises of faith.

Omniya is completing her Master of Science in Psychotherapy at McMaster University and brings significant experience supporting children, youth, and families. Her background includes work in mental health, trauma-informed care, emotional regulation, behavioural concerns, crisis support, and parent support. Omniya also speaks English and Arabic.

Both Mike and Omniya will see clients under clinical supervision as part of their graduate training.

Why Growing Thoughtfully Matters

As Co grows, I never want growth simply for the sake of becoming bigger. I want us to grow with intention.

That means bringing together clinicians with different lived experiences, professional backgrounds, areas of interest, personalities, and ways of connecting with people.

Sometimes finding the right therapist takes time. The person who seems like the perfect fit on paper may not be the person you connect with...and sometimes, the connection you weren't expecting turns out to be exactly what you needed.

My hope is that as our team continues to grow, we do so thoughtfully and intentionally...in ways that support our therapists, but most importantly, the clients who trust us with their care. With each new person who joins our team, we create another opportunity for someone to find a therapist who truly feels right for them.

I'm incredibly excited for this next chapter and for Sahar, Mike, and Omniya to become part of what we're building.

Welcome to the Team!
