About Mike
Hello
You may be feeling overwhelmed by anxiety, stress, or burnout. Perhaps you are grieving a loss, navigating a major life transition, carrying leadership pressures, or questioning who you are and what feels meaningful. You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out for support.
Hi, I’m Mike. I have always been naturally curious about people and drawn to meaningful conversation—so much so that my teachers regularly changed the classroom seating plan in hopes that I might talk a little less. Over time, that desire to connect developed into a passion for helping people feel genuinely understood and supporting conversations that can lead to greater clarity, growth, and meaningful change.
I am completing a Master of Arts in Spiritual Care and Psychotherapy at Wilfrid Laurier University and provide counselling under clinical supervision. My approach is warm, client-centred, and collaborative. Rather than assuming I know what is best for you, I take the time to understand your story, explore what matters most to you, and shape our work around your individual needs and goals.
I support adults—including young adults and men—navigating anxiety, grief and loss, stress and burnout, leadership pressures, life transitions, and questions related to identity, personal growth, or meaning. Together, we can look beneath the surface of what you are experiencing, better understand the patterns influencing your life, and recognize the strengths and inner resources you already possess.
For some clients, faith or spirituality is an important source of meaning, comfort, or conflict. If desired, I can thoughtfully integrate your spiritual beliefs, values, or questions into the counselling process. However, spirituality does not need to be part of our work, and clients from all backgrounds and belief systems are welcome.
My goal is to offer a supportive, non-judgmental space where you can speak openly, feel understood, and work toward a life that feels more authentic to who you are—not simply shaped by who you believe you are expected to be.
I offer in-office counselling sessions in Milton, Ontario, as well as virtual therapy appointments. I am currently accepting new clients and complimentary consultations. If you are wondering whether we may be a good fit, I would be glad to connect with you.
